Emotional Freedom Technique a/k/a Tapping is like emotional acupuncture. By “tapping” on certain pressure points on the face and body, we can quickly and easily release limiting beliefs or install new beliefs that lead us to be a match for what we really want.
How do you do tapping? Tap gently with your fingertips on specific meridian points while talking through traumatic memories, emotions and limiting beliefs. Each time we release these limiting beliefs and emotions, they will never be as strong. We keep whittling down these negative energies with each session so that we gain more clarity, confidence and strength to attract what we want.
Our body is made up of energy. Meridian points are certain points throughout the body that circulate energy. We feel negative emotions because there is a disruption of the body’s energy.
As stress goes up, cortisol levels go up. Our bodies were originally designed to help us survive life in the wild — the “fight or flight” response was necessary for our ancestors to run from sudden danger like a tiger.
Releasing cortisol too often, as we feel chronic stress of modern life, has serious affects on our physical, mental and emotional health. Tapping restores the body’s energy balance, and negative emotions dissolve.
Tapping balances out the brain and brings us to a neutral emotional state — which is peace. By releasing these emotions etc., we can eliminate the problems themselves!
